Oyebanji Triumphs in Ekiti Governorship Polling Unit

In the recent Ekiti State governorship election, Biodun Oyebanji emerged victorious at the polling unit of Bamidele, garnering 164 votes. His nearest competitor, Wole Oluyede from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), received only eight votes, while Ayodeji Ojo of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) placed third with a significantly lower vote count.

Elizabeth Oregbemeh, an election officer, disclosed these results. The election was noted for its impressive voter turnout across the state, with commendations directed towards the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their prompt deployment of electoral officials and materials across the 16 local government areas.

According to INEC, there were 1,059,360 registered voters in Ekiti State, with 1,028,929 having collected their permanent voter cards.
