Oyebanji Wins Ekiti Governorship Election with 319,224 Votes

Biodun Oyebanji, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He received a total of 319,224 votes, defeating his closest rival, Dr.

Oluwol Oluyed of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 40,543 votes. Professor Adenik Oladiji, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, officiated the declaration of results.

Oyebanji expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the residents of Ekiti State and pledged to enhance the welfare of households across the state. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective progress, stating that the mandate would focus on grassroots development and delivering the dividends of democracy.

The election saw a total of 384,940 voters accredited, with 375,777 valid votes recorded and 6,332 ballots rejected, bringing the total votes cast to 382,109.
