First Bank Empowers 300 Entrepreneurs with N50m Grants

On Saturday, First Bank, in collaboration with the Ekiti State government, disbursed N50 million in grants to 300 entrepreneurs across the state, with each beneficiary receiving between N150,000 and N1 million. This initiative, tagged the Innovation Enterprise Support Fund, aims to scale businesses and empower startups, particularly those driven by technology.

Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, Chief Executive Officer of First Bank, stated that the partnership aligns with the bank's commitment to financial inclusion and the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The program will also provide mentorship and market access to high-potential enterprises, focusing on strengthening the innovation ecosystem and creating jobs. Governor Biodun Oyebanji emphasized the collaboration as a testament to the alignment of public leadership with private sector commitment for sustainable development.

The initiative is designed to identify and nurture entrepreneurial skills within the state's ecosystem, ensuring long-term success for beneficiaries.
