Ekiti Governor Disburses N29m for Youth Empowerment

On Wednesday, the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, announced the disbursement of N29 million to various youth and student community-based organizations across the state. This funding is part of the government's commitment to youth development policies aimed at empowering young people and addressing issues such as unemployment and social vulnerability.

The disbursement covers registered organizations in all 16 local government areas of Ekiti State and is facilitated by the Ministry of Youth Development, represented by Gold Adesola. Governor Oyebanji emphasized the importance of engaging youth in leadership and entrepreneurship initiatives, which he believes are vital for socio-economic growth.

He reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring that young people are meaningfully engaged and not left idle, thereby unlocking their full potential. The funds are intended to strengthen youth-focused institutions and enable organizations to implement impactful programs that contribute to community development at the grassroots level.
