PDP Candidate Excluded from Ekiti Governorship Final List by INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released the final list of 12 candidates eligible to contest in the Ekiti State governorship election, excluding the PDP candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede.

The PDP has sought a court order to compel INEC to include Dr. Oluyede's name, citing a previous court ruling confirming his candidacy.

The PDP has expressed optimism in securing a favorable judgment. INEC's decision follows the nullification of the PDP primaries by the Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti.

Legal actions have been threatened by the PDP against INEC for the exclusion.
