PDP to Challenge INEC Over Exclusion of Candidate in Ekiti Governorship List

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria has announced its intention to seek legal redress after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) excluded its candidate, Wole OluYede, from the list of candidates for the 2026 Ekiti governorship election. The PDP accuses INEC of bias and failure to act responsibly.

Despite no court order restraining INEC from recognizing OluYede, the PDP is challenging the exclusion in court. The party criticizes INEC for what it perceives as undemocratic actions and vows to defend democracy.
