Oyebanji Launches Re-Election Campaign in Ekiti State

On Monday, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji commenced his re-election campaign in Ikole Ekiti, expressing confidence in achieving a 16-0 victory across all local government areas in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for June 20. Oyebanji highlighted his administration's accomplishments in infrastructure, human capital development, agriculture, and peacebuilding, asserting that these efforts justify the electorate's trust for a second term.

He urged against violence and emphasized the importance of fulfilling the social contract signed with citizens in 2022. The campaign event, attended by six governors led by Hope Uzodinma, chairman of the APC Governor Forum, featured enthusiastic support from local residents.

Oyebanji called for a significant voter turnout, aiming for 500,000 votes, and encouraged the electorate to reject the opposition, reinforcing the APC's commitment to continued progress in Ekiti State.
