Ekiti Monarch Advocates Upgrade of Teaching Hospital Annex

Oba Adebanji Alabi, the former chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, has appealed to the management of the Federal Teaching Hospital in Ido Ekiti for the upgrade of its annex to provide 24-hour medical services for the community. In a statement made available on Thursday, he commended the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Kolawole Ogundipe, and his team for their efforts in maintaining the annex.

The monarch stressed the importance of modern medical facilities equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including laboratory facilities, to meet the healthcare needs of patients in Ilaw Ekiti and neighboring communities. He acknowledged contributions from notable indigenes, including lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, and Senator Yemi Adaramodu, towards the growth of the hospital annex.

Prof. Ogundipe expressed gratitude to the monarch and the Ilaw Ekiti community for their financial and material donations, promising to keep the community updated on the progress of the hospital annex.
