Olanipekun Donates Maternity Complex to Boost Healthcare

Wole Olanipekun, SAN, has been commended for his donation of a state-of-the-art maternity complex in Ikere Ekiti, inaugurated by Dr. Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, on a Tuesday.

The complex, built at the Ekiti State Specialist Hospital, includes a 35-bed capacity with various specialized facilities such as three general wards, private wards, consultation rooms, and a neonatal intensive care unit. The project aims to significantly reduce maternal and child mortality rates in Ekiti State and is aligned with the federal government's initiative to enhance maternal and child healthcare services across Nigeria.

Dignitaries at the event included Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and traditional rulers. Olanipekun's philanthropic efforts were highlighted as a model for wealthy Nigerians to support national development, emphasizing the importance of private contributions to healthcare improvements.
