Ekiti State Council Elder Adebayo Daramola Dies at 98

Adebayo Daramola, who served as the oldest member of the Ekiti State Council of Elders, died at the age of 98. Governor Biodun Oyebanji expressed his condolences during a visit to Daramola's family, describing him as a moral compass whose influence shaped the lives of many in Ekiti State.

Daramola was recognized as a prominent figure in education and community leadership, having previously served as the chairman of the local government. His passing marks the end of an era, with his legacy expected to inspire future generations.

Other council members, including Joseph Oluwasanmi and Niyi Ajibulu, paid tribute to Daramola, noting his wisdom and guidance during challenging times. Daramola was a devout Christian and a patron of the Anglican Church in Ado Ekiti.

He is survived by his children, including former House of Representatives member Bimbo Daramola, and plans were already in place to celebrate his 100th birthday in June 2027.
