Hunye Challenges Adeola's Lawsuit Threat Over Origin Claims

Hon. Abayomi Hunye, the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has responded to Senator Solomon Adeola's threat of a lawsuit concerning allegations that Hunye is not from Ogun State but is instead an indigene of Ekiti State. In a statement from his Media Adviser, Femi Oyewale, Hunye expressed his readiness to contest the allegations in court, labeling Adeola's legal threats as a “political jamboree” aimed at distracting the public.

Hunye criticized Adeola's 24-hour ultimatum as a diversionary tactic intended to intimidate dissenters and avoid accountability regarding his identity and eligibility to govern Ogun State. He emphasized that the matter of a candidate's origin is a constitutional issue that affects democratic integrity.

Hunye asserted that they would present verifiable evidence in court to support their claims about Adeola's alleged Ekiti ancestry and urged the citizens of Ogun State to remain steadfast against political manipulation.
