APC Sees Ekiti, Osun Elections as Key to 2027 Success

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker and APC chieftain, stated that the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun are crucial tests for the party's strength as it prepares for the 2027 general elections. Scheduled for June 20 in Ekiti and August 15 in Osun, these elections are seen as opportunities for the APC to consolidate its influence and secure victories that would bolster the party's confidence.

Oyintiloye noted that winning both states would enhance the party's prospects for the upcoming elections and support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. He highlighted the significance of the Osun governorship contest, aiming to unseat the incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke.

The APC is reportedly collaborating among its leaders to strategize for these elections, with key figures such as Bisi Akande, Adegboyega Oyetola, Ajibola Basiru, and Tajudeen Lawal working diligently towards a successful outcome. Oyintiloye urged party members to set aside grievances and work collectively for victory.
