Eko Tourism Foundation Pursues Mexico Partnership for Tourism

The Eko Tourism Foundation (ETF), under the leadership of chairman Lai Mohammed, a former Minister of Information and Culture, is pursuing a partnership with Mexico to foster mutual benefits in tourism investment. This initiative aims to position Lagos as a leading global tourism destination.

During a visit from the Honorary Consul of Mexico in Lagos, Biodun Otunola, key areas for collaboration were outlined, including the organization of joint tourism exchange programs. The partnership is particularly focused on facilitating trips between Mexico and Lagos, promoting cultural festivals, and encouraging Mexican investments in Nigeria's tourism and hospitality sectors.

Mohammed emphasized that this collaboration could reshape global perceptions of Nigeria and highlight its rich cultural investment potential. He congratulated Otunola on his recent appointment, noting its significance in strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

The consul's mandate aligns closely with the mission of the Eko Tourism Foundation.
