South-East Leaders Divided Over Ekweremadu's Transfer to Nigerian Prison

South-East leaders are split on the transfer of Ekweremadu to a Nigerian prison after his conviction in the UK for organ trafficking. President Bola Tinubu sent a delegation to London to discuss the case, led by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice.

Chilo Godsent warned against political vendettas, while Professor Awuzi Unachukwu questioned the government's motives. Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro dismissed claims of political motivations, stating Ekweremadu must face due process.
