El-Rufai Slams Kaduna Police Over ADC Summon, Calls It 'Dangerous Descent'

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai criticized the Kaduna State Police Command for summoning six members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over allegations of criminal conspiracy and public disturbance. The police directed the ADC State Chairman and others to appear at the State Criminal Investigation Department on September 8.

The summon followed a petition from an unnamed complainant listing specific individuals. El-Rufai described the move as a dangerous descent into lawlessness.

The police sealed the ADC state secretariat ahead of the planned meeting. This development raises concerns about the relationship between the state government and the police in Kaduna.
