El-Rufai's Money Laundering Trial Continues in Court

Malam El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, arrived at the Kaduna State High Court as the trial concerning his alleged involvement in money laundering continues. The case is being overseen by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

El-Rufai faces ten counts of charges that include allegations of financial misappropriation and money laundering. Previously, the court had adjourned the hearing of his bail application to April 14.

El-Rufai was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) and later transferred to the ICPC. He was granted temporary release to attend the burial of his mother, who passed away in March.
