Mark Jacob Defends El-Rufai Amid EFCC Arrest Controversy

Mark Jacob, the former legal adviser of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his views regarding the arrest of Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In an interview with Daily Post, Jacob stated that El-Rufai should be allowed to engage with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that the EFCC's actions do not add any value to society.

He criticized the current economic and financial crises in Nigeria, attributing stress and insecurity across the country to the leadership of President Bola Tinubu. Jacob emphasized that the arrest of El-Rufai is an attempt to gain attention and does not alleviate the fears faced by the populace in various states.

He called for a focus on the broader issues affecting the nation rather than individual political battles.
