El-Rufai's Legal Troubles May End with APC Membership

Idri Kalgo, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), commented on the legal challenges faced by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. During an interview on Trust TV, Kalgo asserted that El-Rufai would be free from his legal issues if he decided to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made this statement in response to an incident involving the Department of State Services (DSS) attempting to arrest El-Rufai at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Kalgo referenced the case of former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, suggesting that similar legal troubles faced by former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa dissipated once he joined the APC.

Kalgo's remarks highlight a perceived pattern where political affiliation influences the resolution of legal cases in Nigeria.
