Elizade JAC Motors and SMEDAN Launch Truck Financing for SMEs
Elizade JAC Motors has collaborated with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to introduce financing solutions aimed at assisting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in acquiring light-duty trucks. This initiative seeks to alleviate rising logistics costs for SMEs that currently depend on hired vehicles or used trucks for transporting goods.
The available JAC truck models range from 1.6 tonnes to 10 tonnes, including petrol, hybrid CNG, and diesel options. Chief Operating Officer Arvind Bhardwaj stated that using a new JAC truck could save an SME approximately N8.7 million over five years compared to a used vehicle, factoring in maintenance and running costs.
Financing options include a 20% down payment with a 25% annual interest rate over four years, with monthly payments for the 1.6-tonne truck estimated at under N800,000. Zonal Coordinator Olukayode Shode encouraged SMEs to leverage this initiative, which aligns with the government's SME development agenda.
Customers will also receive a three-year warranty and access to service centers.
