Ibas Declares Fulfillment of Mandate in Rivers State Under Emergency Rule

Vice Admiral Ekwe Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers State, declared that he had fulfilled his mandate from President Bola Tinubu by successfully restoring democratic governance at the grassroots level. Ibas highlighted the peaceful conduct of the local government elections and the subsequent election of chairmen and councillors across the state's 23 local government areas.

He commended the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for organizing a fair and transparent electoral process that was widely praised. Ibas emphasized the importance of creating an enabling environment for democratic institutions to thrive in Rivers State.
