Ibas Hands Over to Fubara in Rivers State, Calls for Support

Rear Admiral Ibas has officially handed over to Sim Fubara, the reinstated Governor of Rivers State, in a final broadcast. Ibas urged the people of the state to support Fubara as he resumes his duties.

President Bola Tinubu had suspended Fubara six months ago, declaring an emergency rule in Rivers State, which was lifted recently. Ibas expressed gratitude to the citizens of Rivers State for their support during his tenure as the Sole Administrator.

He highlighted achievements such as restoring law and order, conducting local government elections, and passing the state budget in the National Assembly.
