Emir of Ilorin Commends Successful Pilgrim Airlift

Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, commended the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board for the successful airlift of 1,714 intending pilgrims from Kwara State to Saudi Arabia. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir expressed joy over the smooth execution of the airlift process. He extended his best wishes for the health and comfort of the pilgrims during their stay in the holy land.

The Emir acknowledged the invaluable support of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq in ensuring the success of the transportation of the pilgrims. He noted that Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, which brings people of different races together, and he called for continued peace and coexistence in Kwara State and the nation at large.

Additionally, he commended the leadership of the 2026 Amirul Hajj, Etsu Tsaragi Alhaji Aliyu Kpotwa, for ensuring smooth operations throughout the Hajj period.
