Kwara State Completes Airlift of 2026 Hajj Pilgrims

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board has successfully concluded the airlift of pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj. The final batch, consisting of 223 pilgrims, departed for Saudi Arabia from Babatund Idi Agbon International Airport in Ilorin at 6:05 AM on Saturday.

This development was confirmed in a statement issued by the board's press secretary, Sodiq Abdulmumin Folarin. The chairman of the board, Prof. Mashood Mahmud Jimba, expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his support in ensuring the success of the transportation of the pilgrims.

Executive Secretary Abdulsalam Abdulkadir advised the pilgrims to act as good ambassadors of the state and the country while in Saudi Arabia. Amirul Hajj, Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotwa, urged the pilgrims to pray for peace and unity in the country as they embark on this spiritual journey.
