Kwara State Airlifts 557 Pilgrims for 2026 Hajj

Kwara State has successfully airlifted an additional 557 pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj. The departure took place from Babatunde Idi Agbabiaka International Airport in Ilorin at 10:09 AM, with the pilgrims traveling aboard a Max Air flight en route to Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, urged the pilgrims to avoid actions that could tarnish the image of the state and the country. He emphasized the importance of peace, coexistence, patience, and mutual understanding among fellow pilgrims during the spiritual exercise.

Professor Moshood Mahmud Jimba, the Chairman of the board, also encouraged the pilgrims to maintain good conduct and focus on the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage. Both officials expressed hopes for a safe journey and successful Hajj experience for all pilgrims.
