Umo Eno Urges Patience on Ibom Deep Seaport Development

Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, called on the people of the state to exercise patience concerning the Ibom Deep Seaport and power sector reforms. He highlighted that both sectors require significant effort and are not quick fixes, stating that substantial progress has already been made.

Eno made these remarks during a press interaction at the Government House after returning from a visit to the United Kingdom, which included meetings with investors, particularly in the power sector. He reassured the people of Akwa Ibom about positive outcomes from these engagements, emphasizing that the development of the Ibom Deep Seaport and improvements in the power sector will take time and effort.

Eno noted that the feasibility study for the seaport has just been completed, and he encouraged the public to remain optimistic as the administration continues to work diligently towards realizing its vision for these critical infrastructure projects.
