Enugu Air Secures AOC, Plans Regional Flights by 2026

Enugu Air has successfully obtained its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), marking a significant milestone in the Nigerian aviation industry. This achievement aligns with Governor Peter Mbah's vision to establish Enugu as a commercial logistics hub in West and Central Africa.

The certification process was completed in just five months and three weeks, significantly faster than the typical industry timeline of 15 to 24 months. Enugu Air, fully state-owned, aims to commence operations with a fleet of six aircraft and plans to expand to 20 aircraft by the end of 2026.

This expansion is intended to enhance connectivity for trade, tourism, and investment in Enugu and the wider Southeast region. Captain Tolu Ita, the CEO of Enugu Air, expressed gratitude for the support from Governor Mbah and the NCAA throughout the certification process.

The airline's operational partner, Xejet Limited, also commended the achievement, emphasizing the importance of strong partnerships in advancing air transport development.
