Enugu Air Receives AOC to Launch Scheduled Flights

Enugu Air has officially received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to begin scheduled flight operations. The certification ceremony took place at the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, where the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt.

Chris Najomo, described this achievement as a significant milestone. He emphasized the importance of compliance with safety operational standards and warned that dropping standards could lead to the loss of certification.

Capt. Tolu Ita, the CEO of Enugu Air, expressed gratitude for the support from the NCAA and acknowledged the vision of Governor Mbah in creating an enabling environment for the airline.

Dr. Obi Ozor, the Commissioner for Transport in Enugu State, highlighted that Enugu Air is a strategic component of Governor Mbah's broader transport and logistics transformation agenda, aimed at unlocking economic opportunities across Enugu State and the Southeast region.

The airline plans to grow its fleet to 20 aircraft and commence regional operations by the end of 2026.
