Enyimba Release 22 Players, Including Brown Ideye Who Criticised Club Welfare

Enyimba Football Club has released 22 players, including Brown Ideye, who recently criticized the club's poor welfare conditions. Ideye, a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, alleged that Enyimba owed outstanding match bonuses and provided players with minimal daily meals during away matches.

The club confirmed the departure of players such as Imo Prince, Musa Usman, and Innocent Gabriel, among others. Ideye, who was among those released, has already been spotted in a rival club's camp.

Enyimba also announced the loaning of three young players to newly promoted Kun Khalifat FC. The team is gearing up for the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) campaign, which kicks off on August 24 with an away game against Barau FC Kano.

The club will also host Niger Tornadoes and Nasarawa United at the Enyimba Stadium.
