Gallas Urges Arsenal to Sign Camavinga as Zubimendi's Replacement
William Gallas, a former center-back for Arsenal, has advised the club to pursue a transfer for Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid as a replacement for Martin Zubimendi. Zubimendi joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad last summer and has started brightly.
However, Gallas expressed concerns about Zubimendi's ability to perform the "dirty work" in midfield, which he believes is essential for supporting Martin Ødegaard. Gallas emphasized the need for a player who can compete physically, win the ball, and distribute it effectively.
He specifically mentioned Declan Rice as a player who could fulfill this role, but he does not think Zubimendi is suited for the job. Gallas's comments suggest that Arsenal should look for a player like Camavinga to enhance their midfield capabilities when the summer transfer window opens.
