Liverpool Bans 400 Fans for Ticket Touting Offences

Liverpool Football Club has taken significant action against ticket touting by issuing 432 lifetime bans and 115 indefinite suspensions to individuals involved in ticketing violations. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort with Merseyside Police, which has resulted in the seizure of assets worth over £1.2 million linked to organized ticket touts.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Suffield praised the partnership, emphasizing its importance in protecting genuine supporters. Liverpool's campaign against ticket fraud has seen the closure of 145,000 ticket accounts over two years, with nearly 700,000 ticket registrations analyzed during the 2025-26 season.

The club blocked or canceled 67,663 suspected fake accounts and returned 3,847 tickets to general admission sales after identifying suspicious purchasing activity. Additionally, Liverpool has enhanced matchday enforcement measures, conducting an average of 300 interventions at each home match to prevent access by individuals linked to suspicious ticket activity.
