Liverpool Approaches Brighton for Winger Yankuba Minteh

Liverpool has made an approach to Brighton regarding a potential transfer for winger Yankuba Minteh, according to BBC Sport on Thursday. The 22-year-old Gambia international has made 73 appearances for Brighton since joining from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.

Minteh primarily plays on the right wing but is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained during a friendly against Roma earlier this month. Liverpool is looking to strengthen its attacking options following the departure of Mohamed Salah and is exploring various targets before the transfer window closes.

Earlier this summer, Liverpool signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million, a versatile forward who can play on the wing or through the middle. Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is another target for Liverpool, although the two clubs are reportedly far apart in their valuation, with PSG seeking around £145 million while Liverpool aims for a deal closer to £100 million.
