Brighton Signs Nigerian Winger Femi Azeez on Four-Year Deal

Brighton & Hove Albion has signed Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The transfer was finalized after both clubs submitted a deal sheet, extending the initial 11pm transfer deadline to 1am on Wednesday morning.

Azeez, 25, had an impressive 2025/26 season with Millwall, making 77 appearances, scoring 15 goals, and providing 13 assists, which earned him spots in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season. Brighton's sporting director, Mike Cave, expressed excitement about Azeez's addition, noting his exceptional performance in the Championship.

Azeez's journey to the Premier League included time in Watford’s youth setup, non-league clubs Northwood, Wealdstone, and Hanwell Town, before joining Reading in 2019 and Millwall in 2024. He has also begun his international career with Nigeria, scoring twice on his senior debut against Zimbabwe and assisting in a victory over Jamaica.
