Rayan Cherki Breaks Bruno Fernandes' Assist Record

Rayan Cherki, a 22-year-old player, has made history by surpassing Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes' record for assists in a debut Premier League season. Cherki achieved this feat while playing for Manchester City against Chelsea, according to Opta.

He has recorded over 10 assists across four different matches this season, while Fernandes had two assists in three different matches. Cherki is now the first player to reach this milestone since former West Ham star Dimitri Payet in the 2015-16 season.

Cherki joined Manchester City from Lyon last year and has been impressive under the management of Pep Guardiola.
