Bruno Fernandes Sets New EPL Assist Record with 21

Bruno Fernandes, a 31-year-old midfielder for Manchester United, broke the Premier League assist record on the final day of the league season by providing his 21st assist in a match against Brighton & Hove Albion. This record surpasses the previous marks set by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

Fernandes assisted Patrick Dorgu's goal, which put Manchester United ahead in the 33rd minute. His performance contributed to Manchester United's third-place finish in the league, securing their return to the UEFA Champions League next season.

Throughout the season, Fernandes has provided 21 assists, breaking the previous record of 17 assists held by Darren Anderton from the 1994-95 season. Fernandes registered his first assist of the season in October against Liverpool and has since set a new standard, surpassing Steven Gerrard's 11 assists and Michael Carrick's interim management role in January.

He is now the fourth player in Manchester United history to achieve 71 assists in the Premier League.
