Schmeichel Predicts Manchester United to Finish Second

Former Denmark goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has expressed his belief that Manchester United will secure a second-place finish in the Premier League, surpassing Manchester City. This statement follows Manchester United's 3-1 victory against Aston Villa on Sunday, where Casemiro's header equalized after Ross Barkley's volleyed goal.

The win allowed Manchester United to accumulate 54 points, placing them seven points behind Manchester City and 16 points off league leaders Arsenal. Schmeichel acknowledged that Arsenal is unlikely to catch up with Manchester City, indicating that he views Manchester United's form as improving and capable of challenging for the second position.

His comments were made during an interview with Viaplay, where he emphasized the need for Manchester United to maintain their winning form to achieve this goal.
