Raheem Sterling Leaves Chelsea After Troubled Spell

Raheem Sterling has departed Chelsea by mutual agreement after a challenging stint at the club. The former England forward, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in a £64 million deal in 2022, failed to live up to expectations.

Sterling's time at Chelsea quickly turned sour, leading to his exclusion from the squad and a season-long loan spell at Arsenal last season, where he also struggled to make an impact under manager Mikel Arteta. Despite efforts to revive his career, including the hiring of Liam Rosenior as Enzo Maresca's successor, Sterling remained on the fringes of the team.

He made 81 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 31 goals, before his departure. Sterling, capped 82 times by England, is now a free agent and has been linked with clubs like Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, and Fulham.
