Etsu Nupe Celebrates 74th Birthday and 23rd Anniversary

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, marked his 74th birthday and 23rd anniversary on the throne at his palace in Bida. During the ceremony, he urged the younger generation of Nigerians to take pride in their cultural heritage, pursue education, and develop skills and values necessary for societal contributions.

He emphasized the importance of tolerance, unity, and peaceful coexistence as fundamental values for sustainable development. Abubakar called for mutual respect and dialogue among Nigerians, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political affiliations, to foster peace and national development.

Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed I, the Emir of Lafia and chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Traditional Rulers, congratulated Abubakar on his achievements, describing them as a testament to his wisdom and commitment to his people. Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago praised Abubakar for his contributions to peace and development in the state.
