EUN Partners with TETFund and NASENI to Boost Economy

European University Nigeria (EUN) has partnered with TETFund and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to boost Nigeria's economy. During a press briefing, Vice Chancellor Prof. Emmanuel Chinedum Ibezim emphasized the need to bridge the gap in Nigeria's tertiary education system to produce globally competitive graduates.

Recent research findings were presented at a workshop attended by TETFund, focusing on moving research laboratories towards commercial viability. EUN's collaboration with NASENI aims to accelerate the commercialization process of research outputs, particularly in pharmaceutical applications, which have already attracted interest from manufacturing firms.

Prof. Ibezim acknowledged funding as a major challenge and highlighted the importance of institutional support and seeking international research grants. EUN has 23 academic programs fully approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), with a commitment to quality compliance.

The university aims to position itself as a hub for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, offering innovative tuition payment options and skill acquisition programs to ensure graduates are industry-ready.
