TETFund and NUJ Collaborate to Boost Education Funding

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), represented by President Comrade Alhassan Yahya, has initiated a strategic partnership with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to improve education funding in Nigeria. This collaboration was discussed during a courtesy visit to TETFund's Executive Secretary, Sonni Echono, in Abuja.

Yahya emphasized the need for a deeper collaboration to enhance public awareness of the education sector and to monitor TETFund's activities effectively. He highlighted the importance of engaging directly with TETFund to ensure that Nigerians are well-informed about ongoing developments in tertiary education.

The Executive Secretary noted that Nigeria's tertiary education system requires sustained investment to build public trust and strengthen institutional support. This partnership aims to address infrastructure deficits and research gaps, thereby incentivizing growth in the education sector, especially during a time when skilled personnel are leaving and infrastructure issues are becoming severe.
