Nwaiwu Suspended for Two Matches After Red Card

Chibuike Nwaiwu, a centre-back for Trabzonspor, has been suspended for two matches following a red card received during the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff against Ferencváros. The match, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Trabzonspor, saw Kristoffer Zachariassen score the only goal in the 17th minute.

Nwaiwu was sent off in the closing stages of the match. As a result of this suspension, he will miss the second leg at the Ferencváros Stadion scheduled for Thursday night.

Additionally, should Trabzonspor advance to the group stage, Nwaiwu will also be ineligible for the matchday one fixture. Since joining Trabzonspor from Wolfsberger AC in January, the 23-year-old has been a regular player, making two league appearances this season.
