Ex-AGF Malami's Convoy Attacked in Kebbi - Political Motives Suspected

Former Attorney General of the Federation, Malami, had his convoy attacked in Kebbi. Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred as Malami led an African Democratic Congress (ADC) delegation on a condolence visit in the state.

The convoy, consisting of 10 vehicles, was vandalized, and several supporters sustained injuries. Malami, who served as AGF from 2015 to 2023, condemned the attack as politically motivated.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi denied orchestrating the assault, claiming it was aimed at disrupting the state's peace. The party's Publicity Secretary condemned the violence and disputed allegations of security operatives attached to Malami firing shots during the confrontation.
