No Arrests Made in Attack on Malami’s Convoy, Investigation Ongoing.

The Police Commissioner of Kebbi State, CP Bello Sani, clarified that no arrests have been made following the attack on the convoy of former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, by suspected political thugs. The incident, which occurred in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Birnin Kebbi, is still under investigation.

CP Sani highlighted that the clash stemmed from the unauthorized use of sirens in the convoy, despite a ban on such practices by the police. Governor Nasir Idris convened an emergency security meeting to review the situation and prevent further disturbances.

The police chief emphasized the need to uphold law and order, especially during the political campaign period.
