Dr. Tunde Lemo, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and a 2027 governorship aspirant from the Ogun State Progress Congress, called for support for President Bola Tinubu. He commended Tinubu for providing necessary support to advance economic growth in Ogun State. During the inauguration of the cargo airport in Ilisan Remo, Lemo praised Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for ensuring the project's success, which he described as a game changer capable of redefining the state’s economy and boosting its gross domestic product. Lemo mobilized support across the state, emphasizing that Tinubu deserves continued backing beyond 2027 to consolidate ongoing reforms. He acknowledged the transformative potential of the airport project, which will facilitate passenger transport and enhance export business, particularly for agricultural products. Lemo expressed confidence that Ogun State could rank among the top three states in terms of internal revenue generation within the next five years, attributing the project's feasibility to the groundwork laid by previous administrations.
