Fatai Owoseni Joins Oyo Governorship Race Under Accord

Fatai Owoseni, a retired Commissioner of Police, has announced his candidacy for the Oyo State governorship election scheduled for 2027, representing the Accord Party. Owoseni, who recently resigned from his position as a special adviser on security to Governor Seyi Makinde, expressed his vision to restore the state's former glory and promote self-sustainability.

He emphasized the importance of improving the welfare of residents and enhancing educational standards, advocating for the upgrading of public schools. Owoseni's decision to enter politics stems from a desire to contribute positively to the state's development, leveraging his 35 years of experience in police service.

He urged the Nigerian diaspora to return home and participate in the country's development. Owoseni dismissed the notion that politics is inherently corrupt, stating that the focus should be on the impact of policies rather than the individuals involved.
