Shina Peller Advocates for Strong Opposition in Nigeria

Shina Peller, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, and Iwajowa Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly, spoke at a Ramadan lecture in Iseyin on the importance of credible opposition for Nigeria's democracy. He warned that without a credible voice of opposition, democracy in Nigeria is doomed.

Peller criticized alleged attempts to emasculate the opposition, particularly targeting the People Democratic Party (PDP), amidst a mass exodus of its members. He emphasized that democracy cannot thrive without a balanced opposition and urged political leaders to live righteously.

Peller also highlighted the need for investment in human resources, especially youth, to build communities and ensure a better future. The lecture was held in honor of his late father, Prof.

Abiola Peller, and attracted a significant audience from the Muslim community across the Ogun Zone.
