Former Councillor Yahaya Maigida Joins Kaduna Assembly Race

Yahaya Maigida, a former councillor from Katari Ward in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has announced his candidacy for the Kaduna State House of Assembly by purchasing nomination forms from the All Progressives Congress (APC). In an interview on Friday, Maigida expressed that his decision to join the race is motivated by a desire to enhance grassroots representation and address pressing challenges affecting his constituency.

He emphasized the need for a stronger voice in the state assembly, highlighting issues such as infrastructure deficits, security concerns, and youth unemployment that require practical legislative attention. Maigida believes that the APC provides a viable platform to connect leadership with the people and pursue policies that will foster development in the community.

He called for unity among political actors during the electoral season, stressing the importance of constructive engagement to improve the lives of the people in Kachia.
