Former Kano Governor Bashir Bello Resigns from APC

Bashir Bello, the former governor of Kano State, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). His resignation was communicated through a letter addressed to the ward chairman of the party in Arewa Gaya Local Government Area, effective April 5, 2026.

In his letter, Bello stated that the decision was made in the best interest of his constituents and after careful consideration. He expressed gratitude for the support and trust he received during his tenure as a senator from 2015 to 2023.

Despite his departure from the APC, he acknowledged the camaraderie and cooperation he experienced within the party over the years. This move marks a significant political shift for Bello, who has been a notable figure in Kano State politics.
