John Stones Joins Inter Milan on Free Transfer Deal

John Stones, the 32-year-old England centre-back, has officially joined Inter Milan on a free transfer after spending ten years with Manchester City. The announcement was made by the Italian champions on Thursday.

Stones left Manchester City when his contract expired at the end of last month. During his time with City, he was a pivotal player under former manager Pep Guardiola, contributing to the club's success with six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups, and one Champions League title.

However, his last few seasons at the Etihad Stadium were marred by injuries, limiting him to just nine Premier League appearances in the previous season. Stones has signed a two-year deal with Inter Milan.

He played five matches for England at the recent World Cup held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, making his 94th international appearance in the semi-final loss to Argentina. Stones could make his debut for Inter when they begin their Scudetto defense against Monza at the San Siro on August 22.
