Ex-President Jonathan explains evacuation from Guinea-Bissau on Ivorian aircraft

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan disclosed the evacuation of a Nigerian delegation from Guinea-Bissau on an Ivorian aircraft during a recent coup. He explained that the Ivorian aircraft arrived earlier due to geographical proximity and quicker land clearance.

Jonathan expressed gratitude to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara for their swift intervention in ensuring the safety of the delegation amid a tense political atmosphere. The evacuation took place as the military announced control of the government during presidential legislative elections.
