Nasir Bala Ja Oji Announces 2027 House of Reps Bid

Nasir Bala Aminu Ja Oji, a former senior special assistant to the president on citizenship leadership, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for the Tarauni Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections. His candidacy is backed by the Progress Congress, which has endorsed him following a transparent consensus process supervised by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

In a statement made available by his media aide, Abba Anwar, Ja Oji expressed gratitude to the stakeholders and party members for their support and urged them to continue backing his candidacy. He emphasized the importance of youth inclusion in politics and governance, thanking President Bola Tinubu for his support in this endeavor.

The endorsement was confirmed during a meeting involving 16 out of 19 stakeholders in the constituency.
